Vodafone NZ recently commissioned a remake of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture for an ad campaign with just Nokia mobile phones. I was on The Digital Edge today together with @johnlim, @davidlian and @cerventus. (Thanks John for the invite) One of the topics discussed was the Sidekick fiasco and the growing dependency on the cloud for backup. I made an unashamed plug for the iPhone (yes, I am a new member of iPhonism) saying that iPhone users would not suffer the same fate, as data is backed-up on iTunes - unless you disabled it.
